Pray for one another, that you may find healing

Pray for one another, that you may find healing

James 5:13-20, Mk 10:13-16. In today’s first reading, James challenges believers to care for the elderly and the ill members of the Church. Caring means treating others with much love and attention as we show to young children who have a simple, but profound trust in us. It demands that we do all we can to help the weak to experience the love of God, no matter what the circumstances.

The hope is for a gift of healing that is complete and integral, physical and spiritual. He also recommends: “Declare your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may find healing.” This applies to the wider community, that we be concerned for each other’s spiritual well-being. In today’s Gospel, Jesus states a basic principle that draws our attention the simplicity of children who trust their parents. Jesus embraced children and blessed them because they can model for us the real spirit of the Kingdom of God.

May the Lord strengthen us in His love and answer us when we call! Amen!! Happy weekend!!!
