LAITY SHOULD NOT TURN BLIND EYE TO CHALLENGES...

REV. FR JOSEPH Akinbinu, parish priest, led the parishioners of St Joseph, Oke Ado, Ibadan, in thanking God for His mercies on them, their families and the parish community as a whole.

Fr Bernard Azeez, guest celebrant and homilist, told the congregation to always give thanks to God irrespective of the situation of the country.

According to Fr Azeez, it is only God who can bring about harvest while referring to many natural disasters in recent times in different parts of the world.

“We should always learn to reflect on the numbers of our years, thanking God for the gift of life,” he said.

The laity should not turn a blind eye to the challenges of our time, but seek solutions.

A bazaar and a reception followed the church ceremony.
