“Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da Gloriam, propter misericordiam tuam, propter fidelitatem.” (Not to us Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, for your mercy, for your faithfulness) – Ps. 115:1.
The almost one-week-long celebration of my 80th Birthday was really grandiose. We thank God for the huge success. May He give us many more years of joy, blessings and peace.
Every event mapped out was successfully executed. I offer my profound gratitude and appreciation to Archbishop Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin, the central planning committee under Fr. Clement Emerue; the committee of friends headed by Dr. Olusanmi; the Board of Trustees of Felix Alaba Job Foundation; and my family; especially the Job Kujeiro 3rd generation that planned the Esure programme.
I thank the NFCS Ibadan Province who took part in the Choral competition, Prof. Pat Utomi for a brilliant talk and Ambassador Joe Keshi, chairman of the occasion and all who took part in the programme.
I acknowledge the sweat-of-love of the Board of Trustees of FAJ Foundation and all our benefactors for the fund-raising of Thursday. May the Lord abundantly recompense you.
The 3rd day of events saw a well organised Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving. I appreciate and thank all the liturgical functionaries (Choir, Lay Readers, Church Wardens, Altar Servers) for a job well done.
I appreciate most humbly, my brother bishops, -almost all the conference- led by our President, Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze who turned up for this Mass. In particular, my Emeriti elder brothers Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie and Bishop Michael Fagun. His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan added data to my memoir with his Homily!
