REV. FR BENEDICT Ugwoegbu, parish priest, with the entire parishioners of Sacred Heart, Ilupeju, Bodija Express, Ibadan hosted this year’s North Deanery Cathedraticum on 7 March.

During the homily, Most Rev. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin, chief shepherd, encouraged the faithful to be their brother’s and sister’s keepers.

Archbishop Abegunrin, asked “How can you see an ignorant Catholic or someone who is going the wrong way and you ignore such a person,” adding that the faithful should learn to be more friendly with one other and correct one another in love.

It is not only those born of the same parents that are related, but also as communicants, we all share in the one body of Christ, he noted.

The archbishop encouraged the congregation that “we must not stop working because we are not recognized, just keep doing what you can, for God who sees in secret will reward you”

The Prelate introduced the two books on Human life and Family released recently by the Bishops of Ibadan province, imploring the faithful to get copies for their faith development.

The parishes and institutions go for thanksgiving with their gifts, and at the end, the prelate appreciated priests, religious and laity from 14 parishes and religious houses in the deanery.
