BISHOP ATOYEBI LEADS PRAYER ON NEW YEAR EVE

BISHOP ATOYEBI LEADS PRAYER ON NEW YEAR EVE

MOST REV. (DR) Ayo-Maria Atoyebi OP has wished the members of St Joseph’s Cathedral Church, Taiwo Road, Ilorin, God’s guidance in the new year.

He said this during the Eucharistic celebration on New Year Eve.

Expressing  his deepest gratitude for God’s goodness in 2017, the prelate extolled the virtues of the Virgin Mary for accepting to be the mother of Jesus Christ.

He advised the congregation to imitate the Virgin Mary and always call on her to intercede in order to win and receive abundant blessings and graces from God.

He reminded them that the birth of Christ was a miracle that never happened before. He called on all the faithful to pray constantly and pray the rosary wherever they are.

The Eucharistic celebration ushered the congregation into year 2018 after the communion with Bishop Atoyebi himself anchoring the prayer session for the church, clergy, religious, the lay faithful, leaders and the nation.

Present at the celebration were the Cathedral Administrator, Very Rev. Fr Anselm P. Lawani, Frs. A Fasiku and Joseph T Ibiwoye, a visiting priest.
